12 years ago we started a clothing label with the crazy idea to bring colour to a very dark clothing industry in NZ. Many said it was crazy and many said NZers would always love black. The latter is still somewhat true but I honestly believe that without sounding cocky, we have achieved that goal, I honestly believe that we as a nation have embraced colour sooo much more and I believe that Augustine has played a small part in that. And that little fact makes my heart happy. Years ago if I turned up to a dinner party in screaming colour people would comment on how out there my fashion choices were, and now people fall over backwards if I turn up in anything but colour. It’s an evolution and it’s one we will keep fighting for another 12 years, and beyond. Colour makes us happy, colour starts a conversation, colour brings smiles out in faces and colour gets you compliments. I have banged on about it years and I won’t stop.
