Sometimes in life you hear a story that’s so devastating it sticks with you and you think about it over the years. Sophia’s story is one of those. She contacted me years back to gift her some clothes for a fundraiser she was doing in memory of her gorgeous daughter Valentina, who was tragically killed in her driveway in 2014. We sent some clothes and I have always thought of how strong and incredible she was to be fundraising after such a horrific incident. As a mother you can’t imagine the pain she must go through each day.
Just today I saw a post saying she was now fundraising for a different reason, to save her own life. Sophia has terminal cancer and needs a special and expensive treatment to try and prolong her life.
Her friends have set her up a give a little page, which I have linked below. Again, if we all gave just a little, it could mean a lot. It could give her more time.
Sophia is always soooo incredibly positive and uplifting in her posts in our VIP page, telling others not to save their best dresses for special occasions and to live for the now. Her smile is just incredible and to uplift others while she is going through such pain is inspiring.
When I asked Sophia if she would like me to share this, she simply said “I hope that sharing my experience may help someone else going through the same experience” and I am so sure it will.
So share this post ladies. Give a little and let’s see if we can help Sophia reach her goal to extend her life and give her more time with her other daughter, Augustina. Let’s buy her the gift of time.
