I told Demi as I was putting her to bed, that tonight was the last night of lockdown.
She flat out didn’t believe me. I said we can go to a restaurant tomorrow for lunch and then go wherever she likes. She still doesn’t believe me.
“You’re joking mum” she said as I tried to prove it to her.
“Anywhere” she asked? Yes Demi anywhere.
“Even to see nana and pop”
No not that kind of anywhere cos we are still locked in Auckland.
“So told you mum, still in lockdown”.
Guess she has a point there. Kids. Always so smart.
