Yesterday I watched Indie play netball!!!Which in itself doesn’t seem a remarkable feat, but if I tell you a little story it will seem like one. 2020 there was no netball season due to covid, I think their team played 2 games in total and that was that. Then came 2021 and she started the year with 2 broken ribs and two mangled fingers so was out at the start of the season. Then came the main winter season, she dislocated her knee and was out for the entire season. Spending the season on the sideline on crutches watching her friends. So yesterday I watched her play, fit and healthy after doing all the rehab she needed to do for her knee, so to see her play a game of netball, in these strange times was actually just a beautiful thing. I felt so proud of her, just another player out there on court to any other eyes watching, but to this mumma, knowing what she has been through to finally be back on court at her little age of 11yrs made my heart burst 💓💓 here’s to a long full season ahead 🙏
