As a mum we celebrate different levels of achievements with our kids. Some are big and obvious that others might see like a certificate or winning a sporting game or being the best in their field. Im sure as your kids get older the things we celebrate get bigger and more important like a wedding or a first job. But for now, while they are little sometimes the achievements are small and hidden, sometimes they are things that other mothers might take for granted as an everyday occurance. Every child is different and so too are the sizes of the milestones. Havana is incredibly shy and has terrible separation anxiety with me, possibly a result of covid lockdown or maybe just the way she is. But today, little Havana made me so proud. She walked herself into school and waved to me from the school gate. There were no tears, no clinging to my leg and screaming. No bribes. Just a brave girl deciding today was her day. 💓
