The idea of the #TripleGoddess was popular in different pagan religions in the ancient world. Goddesses who had similar significance or represented different aspects of a whole were often conflated or grouped together.
One of the most well-known of these was the Artemis-Selene-Hecate Triad in ancient Greece, now simply called the Artemis Triad in modern studies of mythology.
Tomorrow, August 13, is the first day of #Nemoralia, a three-day ancient Roman festival (also called the Festival of Torches or #HecateanIdes) that honors Diana (the equivalent of Artemis in Greek mythology).
