I spent my birthday on Tuesday working on this shoot (currently featured in my new blog post) which was incredibly special to me. Besides being fun to style, shoot, and edit, it’s filled with special pieces from my grandmother and mom. The lenox serving pieces and floral dish were my grandmother’s and the wax seal and #fragonard parfum I bought for my mom as gifts. The jewelry is from my mom, both grandmother’s and a broach made from beads from my great grandmother.
My mom has a wonderful eye for composition and amazing style. I initially planned on going with a blue color palette to complement the navy font from the basicinvite invitations but she suggested pink. As per usual, #momisalwaysright and I love how these came out.
O and after I wrapped this up and put the living room together my mom made nytcooking French onion grilled cheese, a delicious onion soup and my all time favorite cake of hers, chocolate chip cinnamon coffee cake. Food coma heaven! This was my first birthday at home with my parents since my 18th and it was so special and full love. 2020 has been a powerful reminder to treasure the time with your loved ones ❤️❤️
