TIP TUESDAY: What is a wedding flat lay? (Hint: save this photo to find easily later with the flag at the bottom right)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A wedding flat lay is a collection of objects and bridal details that have been intentionally arranged to create a styled, editorialized photograph. The flat lay can be arranged on any flat surface (hence the name), such as the floor, a table, a piece of fabric, or a decorative styling board. You can think of it as a snapshot of your wedding—a flat lay should summarize the story of your special day by showcasing everything from your color palette to the general theme you’ve chosen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Flat lay details are photographed in the beginning of the wedding day while hair and makeup is finishing up. They may also be photographed separately before the wedding day if all details are mailed to me prior to the wedding. Please email me if you’re interested in this!

Lots of time and energy goes into these photos because the little details tell a story of the bigger picture of the day! I have built up a Bridal Details Styling Kit to compliment all the details you provide. This kit includes: velvet ring boxes, matching wood hangers for hanging dresses, different kinds of ribbon in all colors, extra envelopes in all colors in case there isn’t any extras with the invitation, backgrounds/boards to arrange the details on, wax stamps I personally pressed myself, and so much more!

Swipe left to learn what you can include in your bridal details box for flat lays! Bonus: includes what’s your groom’s details are too!
