These little broken up pieces of plastic are what marine animals are ingesting and what some seabirds are taking back to their chicks as "food".â

It's hard to unwind the damage already caused by the pollution of plastic in our environment, maybe it's impossible? But what we do have now, is awareness and knowledge. We know that cutting down the amount of waste we create at an individual level makes a difference when multiplied by thousands, millions, billions of people.â

Keep looking out for the easy swaps = opt for non-plastic and reusable alternatives.â Make sure we're recycling properly in our homes, in our workplaces. Keep up to date on your local council recycling list, as there are constant changes and additions to what we can now recycle. And the recycling bin is always better than general waste (i.e. off to be buried or burned).â We have so much faith in our generation, we hope you do too?â Keep learning, sharing and acting đâ
