Have you ever traveled to Bali? It’s by far the nation with the nicest people, incredible nature and a positive energy from their kind spirituality. But it’s also FILLED with plastic. I’m talking about plastic everywhere!! There is no recycling nor trash collecting system whatsoever here provided by the government. So the locals either throw the trash into the ocean and rivers, or burn them on the side of the roads. It’s a really sad reality that affects people and nature’s health. Bonito Jewelry couldn’t exist without this Island so we know we MUST give back! We have partnered with @ecobalirecycle @malu.dong and @trashheroindonesia this year to support their actions. Their goal is to clean the beach and rivers, provide recycling systems, educate the locals about the harm of plastic, and what to do with their trash (they are all volunteers). We will be posting more content about their work soon :) thank you so so much for all of your purchases these past few months since we launched Bonito Jewelry. Our goal is to provide beautiful and high quality jewelry, while supporting local artisans and non-profits. Just like in Balinese beliefs: what goes around comes around.
