After hanging the hurricane glass candle holder i noticed that it kind of disappears, because of the black wall. Even though the baskets are black it’s size and texture creates the perfect look and balance, and you don’t lose site of it within the pergola. It was also important to me for the baskets to have large open weave design, so you can still see the candle when it’s lit and the glass inside the basket. This look creates the perfect mood for cocktail during the evenings and still pleasing in the mornings while drinking a cup of coffee. Either way I think it looks pretty dang good!.???

#DIY TIP 1: I drilled four holes inside four on each side for proper drainage. My candles were getting nasty from sitting in water and the sun was just melting them away. Now, we have drainage and pretty candles. •

TIP 2: I spray painted the candle holder matte black for another form of protection from the sun and rusting from the rain.
