I got a lot of questions about our exterior yesterday, like which door do you use as your main door? Is this the front of your house or the back? How does your “L” sign hold up in the elements? So I thought I’d answer some on here. We usually always use the black door as our main entrance since the shoe closet is there. This is actually the front of our house which is quite confusing since the old front of the house has turned into the back through all the additions, and I made the personalized L sign and coated it with three coats of polycrilic. It’s been outside for two years now and although the stain has faded a bit, it’s holding up great! Also, because old house with lots of additions have some funny quirks, do you see that little window above the black door? We can’t quite figure out why the old owners put it in as its at ground level. When we re-did the boys room it ended up half in their closet and half in the laundry closet ??. Yay for natural light but hello weird outside look! We talked about filling it in, but we just haven’t gotten to it yet! So enjoy the floor light in the closets kids ??
