Was pleasantly surprised that this new #brightech lamp turned out to be antique brass finish rather than the gold it was described as on Amazon. I was hesitant to pull the trigger because I didn't want a bright gold finish, but the pictures looked like it was subdued enough to not stick out too badly, so I decided to risk it. Box arrived saying antique brass and sure enough it matches the rest of the room's hardware. If they'd called it that to begin with it would have been a no-brainer.
I think its dimmest setting should be just about perfect for trying to make some headway on my stacks of unread books. It's been about 15 years since I've had a suitable reading lamp for bed.
