Starting and sticking with meditation doesn’t have to feel daunting. Whether today is day 1 or day 1000 in your mental fitness journey, try these tips for making meditation a daily habit.
➡️ If you’re brand new to meditation...start with the basics. Aim to try a few sessions a week (like those in our How to Meditate series), with a goal of building a daily routine. Make the time, show up, and the rest will follow.
➡️ If you’re getting back into meditation…pair it with an existing routine. Do you drink your morning coffee at the same time each day, or take a regular brain-break between meetings? Experiment with adding a brief meditation before or after such activities to work it into your day.
➡️ If you’re a seasoned meditator...set a new goal. Much like an athlete builds physical strength with fitness goals, improve your mental fitness with tweaks to your existing routine. If you primarily use guided meditations, add one or two unguided sessions each week and see what feels different about your practice.
