The more we’re able to notice where the mind is in daily life, the better able we are to offer full presence when we’re with others. We can practice being fully attentive, Right here, right now with whoever we’re connecting with. When they’re speaking and our mind drifts off, we can notice what’s happening and bring our attention back. When we have the urge to interrupt someone, we can pause and catch ourselves. As we practice, and develop awareness, we become skilled at mindful deep listening, compassionate listening. And that’s really what everyone wants most in conversation isn’t it? To be heard. #DailyCalm
