Anxiety is big. Like a big knot and it’s hard to untangle these feelings of tension, rumination, worry, and… well, anxiety! And while we all have it, it’s still hard to know exactly what to do about it.
This may sound counter-intuitive, but one of the best ways to manage these bigger emotions is to start small. It’s our habits and actions that weave together to make the fabric of our days, weeks, months and lives.
So for today, if you’re feeling any anxiety at all (or even if you’re not) start small. Take 3-minutes and try stepping out of your head and into your body. And if your body is where your anxiety comes from, pinpoint it and move away from it. Explore from your head to your toes to find a place of peace. And if this doesn’t shift your anxiety, that’s ok, too. Just keep at it, because it’s the small habits that lead to big changes.
