Strong relationships are one of the keys to a happy life, and mindfulness can help us build them! Here are a few of the ways:
1. Increased ability to be present and attentive. With practice, our brains get “rewired”, helping us step out of autopilot to tune into, and be present with, our friends and partners.
2. Change the brain’s emotional regulation areas, helping us become more aware of our emotional landscape.
3. Learning to regulate our systems, helping to soften our responses and decrease reactivity.
4. Observe and become curious about our reactions, allowing us to better understand the underlying patterns at play and eventually redirect our actions.
5. Helps us stop, notice, and increase our awareness of the beauty in our lives and all we have to appreciate and be grateful for.
6. Last but certainly not least, help improve the way we respond to stress. And when we are in a state of stress we are less present to what's in front of us.
