How to remove lint from your towels (save for later) ✨ When towels are new, they may have excess fibres that cause lint to appear when you wash or use them. To fix this, simply follow these steps. ✨ Shake your towels vigorously. This will help remove any loose lint. ✨ If you have a dryer (yes, we're starting with the dryer!) ensure the lint trap is completely clean. Once this is done, pop in the towels and set a cycle on the lowest heat setting. If you don’t have a dryer, go straight to step 4. ✨ Remove your towels from the dryer and shake them. ✨ Pop the towels in the washer, alone, with either ½ a cup of bicarb soda or vinegar, along with the recommended amount of detergent. Put the wash cycle on hot. (The bicarb soda or vinegar paired with the hot water will break down the excess lint.) ✨ Remove the towels from the washer and reshake them. ✨ Dry your towels on a high heat setting in the dryer (removing any lint in the lint trap first) or dry them naturally in the sun. ✨ You will have fluffy towels without lint! #mycanningvale
