"Shin Salvation - As a 6' 2" aging male in early 40's, they are very helpful to avoiding shin scrapes. Deadlifting puts awkward torque on my shins given my long lower body and short torso/arms. The RockTape Rock Guards work splendidly at protecting the skin during unavoidable high friction contact due to my biomechanics. They breathe well and are a cinch to don and remove; the heal loop is great for stabilizing the gear in place.
