Something to keep in mind is how will the table influence the social factor? A round table is perfect for encouraging conversation. The same can also be said for square tables; however, they can take up more space than round ones.

A rectangular table offers a certain advantage in terms of capacity that round- and square ones do not. Picture having to place your large dinner party at a round one – you would need to have a pretty big round table!
If you’re very social and have a large space to fill, it’s best to opt for a rectangular table, as you’ll fit more chairs and guests.

A round table can offer another advantage that works in their favour: a lot offer a singular leg instead of four, providing more legroom for diners.
