#FamilyOfComrads "As an OB GYN I spend hours on my feet. Whether it’s running to a C section, seeing patients in the office or being in the operating room. When I was pregnant in residency, my legs would get swollen from the long hours of standing. Compression socks were my saving grace and reduced my swelling after long days in the operating room. During pregnancy, there is an increase in fluid volume which can cause edema or swelling of the lower extremities. I encourage my patients, especially those who have to stand for long periods of time to wear compression socks to reduce swelling and increase circulation. Loving my @comradsocks and apparently my son loves his too!" - Nicole A. Sparks, M.D. (@nicolealiciamd) OB-GYN Physician
