Lisa lives in Bremen, Alabama, and was nominated by her friend and running buddy, Natasha. 🏃♀️ Many years ago, Natasha was diagnosed with kidney disease, and she knew eventually she would reach the point when she was going to need a kidney transplant.⠀

Natasha says, “We always joked that when the time came, Lisa would be tested. Well, the time came. Lisa and I made the trip to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Without hesitation, she went through a long day of testing. We were on our way home, and Lisa looked at me and said, I know in my heart that I'm going to be your match. From then on, we both had a peace that neither of us could explain.” 💕☮️💕⠀

Lisa was a perfect match. And she didn’t waver. They had kidney transplant surgery on May 28, 2020. The surgery went great, they both recovered well, and now Natasha feels better than ever! Selflessly, Lisa says, “Anybody would do that for a friend.” 💗💖💗⠀
