Paige is a counselor at a small elementary school in Elkin, North Carolina. Paige’s dedication to her students is immeasurable. ✨ Her nominator and coworker, Randee, says, “She is a second mother to over 600 students. She provides food when they are hungry, clothes when they are cold, support when they are down, and a huge smile to show she is proud of them. Paige volunteers for programs at school to help better the community, including family literacy, after-school tutoring, and anything else going on.” 🦄🌈
She doesn’t simply “clock in” during school hours but is there for her students around the clock. When a student’s house caught fire, Paige was there. Randee says, “The mom ran out to save her kids and was barefoot in the yard when Paige arrived. She literally gave that mom the shoes off her feet. Also, I have personally witnessed her spend the night in an emergency room waiting area because we had a student under their care......she was told, you can go home, and she said, “you’re crazy. I am not leaving him!” She sat there all night to make sure he was getting the best care possible.” 💗💓💖
Paige sacrifices so much for her students and is deserving of all the accolades. Randee says, “There is no more shining example of humility, grace, and persistence than this woman. She’s a kick-ass single mom doing life on her own terms!” 💪💫❤️
