Samantha has rescued hundreds of homeless dogs in Houston, Texas, since 2012 while holding down a full-time job as an accountant. She says, “I started rescuing dogs when I saw a dog on the euthanasia list that looked like my dog Taffi. After that, I started transporting dogs and then ultimately fostering dogs. I've always loved dogs growing up." Early on, she would foster one dog at a time, but now she fosters between 15 and 20 dogs at once. ❣️🐕😍⠀

“Samantha spends thousands of dollars of her own money to save these animals; She has an amazing set up at her home to get these dogs safe, vaccinated, fixed, chipped, trained if needed, and then adopted," Samantha’s nominator Lou says. 🌈⠀

In advance of the epic freeze that hit Texas this past February, Samantha sought out strays to rescue to keep them safe. It was Boomer's lucky day!
