Caity is a Master's level Occupational Therapist and works at a hospital in Denison, Texas. Her mom, Melissa, nominated her sharing, “She works with all types of people that need therapy for their everyday activities. Some of the people she works with have had traumatic brain injuries, strokes, accidents that resulted in amputations, COVID injuries, etc. She helps them re-learn how to do things that bring them more independence in their everyday lives. She does it with kindness, and her patients love her.” 💖💞
Caity is committed to fostering independence in her patients as a “Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist, one of only a few hundred in the United States,” Melissa says. “She can teach someone with significant impairments to drive again. She is in charge of starting the first driver rehabilitation program at Texoma Medical Center, Melissa says. Her program will serve far north Texas and southern Oklahoma. Driver rehab is her passion, and she has worked tirelessly for over 3 years to get this program started. She is also working on her Post Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and she will complete her degree in the summer of 2023. Her daughter, Elin, says that her mom is awesome and powerful, and I believe it too!” 💪🦄🌸
