Let’s celebrate Jo Ann, our newest Consuela Viva Babe, a true inspiration in the Raymondville community! 🥳💖 Starting as a Surgical Tech and single mother of three boys, Jo Ann’s journey is marked by resilience and dedication. Graduating from UTRGV with a Bachelor’s in Nursing, she seized the opportunity to serve her community further as the District Healthcare Director.
Amid the challenges of COVID-19, Jo Ann’s innovative leadership transformed her school into South Texas’ first COVID-19 school-based vaccination center, administering over 10,000 vaccines. Her efforts significantly reduced the area’s death toll, making schools safer with the implementation of a Reverse Ionization system.
Jo Ann’s impact continues with establishing a full-service clinic in the school, offering FREE healthcare to students and staff – a pioneering initiative in Texas. Jo Ann exemplifies resilience, leadership, and unwavering dedication as she works tirelessly to bring a school-managed hospital to the community.
