As we head into the holiday and into the new year, I want to express my gratitude for our retailer community who has supported me personally and Consuela for the last 18 years.
When Consuela first started, our primary form of business was selling to independent retailers. These are individually owned boutiques, often in small towns, who have often been operating for decades. These are the small businesses who are the backbone of many of our communities. I have so much respect for the people who have managed to stay in business for many many years through ups and downs, triumphs and challenges.
Consuela started selling to boutiques in 2008. This was our main form of business at that time. Today it still remains 50% of our business, the other 50% being through our website.
So many of the independent boutiques who have been supporting us have been with us for over a decade, many of them for at least 15 years.
A couple of those very original boutiques are here in this post, @juliensuvalde and @gatherings_giftbox . These images are almost 10 years ago and I still remember those holidays so fondly.
For me, Consuela has always been about the people I have met along the way, and the relationships I have formed, and I am so grateful and Iβm looking forward to many years to come.
Happy holidays to everyone, especially our retailers and boutiques who support us every day. We thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you in January at Market!πΎπΎπΎπππ
