Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Metastatic Breast Cancer is cancer that has spread beyond the breast to other organs in the body, such as the bones, lungs, liver or brain. As things currently stand, once this has occurred, there is no cure. Acknowledging Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day tells those living with the disease they are not alone on what is often an uncertain and scary journey.
✨ Why McGrath Foundation?
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to women and men experiencing breast cancer. From diagnosis right throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses are available to help individuals and their families for free and with no referral. A breast cancer diagnosis changes your life, often in ways you wouldn’t expect.
