The model was designed with downhill skiing in mind. Fayu fits tightly enough and has a narrow, soft brim allowing your skiing glasses to stay well on your nose as they should. The lining is fleece, to keep you warm on the slopes and the shell materials vary from Fayu to Fayu, being mostly wool. The pom-poms are easily detachable as they always are with us. Fayu has some elements of the aviator hat but instead of having separate ear flaps it´s made of six panels.
