Before COVID-19, sixteen million American children struggled with hunger every year. 1 in 5 children in Canada were at risk of going to school hungry. And approximately 3.1 million children died from hunger each year around the world. Since the pandemic started, those numbers have begun to swell. Our giving partner, the United Nations World Food Program USA reports that the number of severely hungry children could double this year. .
cuddle+kind recently made an emergency donation of 300,000 meals to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, Breakfast Club of Canada’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund, Food Banks Canada’s COVID-19 Response Fund as well as local restaurants who will deliver nourishing prepared meals to frontline healthcare workers in the US and Canada. Now, we have committed to doubling our donation of meals for every purchase made for the next four days.💕 .
