In new trials conducted by the NHS, it has been found that the mild electric currents delivered by Alpha-Stim AID can relax people who have suffered from anxiety for years, according to The Sunday Times.
Conducted in Leicestershire using Alpha-Stim's Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES), patients in the trial used the device for six and 12 weeks.
The device simply clips onto the ears for the CES treatment to be conducted.
After 12 weeks, 72% of patients achieved remission whilst 63% of those in the trial saw an improvement in their anxiety symptoms.
After 24 weeks, 77% of the patients had achieved remission.
