For the next five days we will be devoting our IG to featuring iconic women brave enough to make a difference in our world. #CUUPSupportsYou
Introducing Ruth Bader: The second woman to serve on the Supreme Court and a longtime advocate of gender equality. Ruth has been an associate justice since 1993. She attended Cornell University (where she studied under Vladimir Nabokov, author of Lolita) and a few years later she was the first woman on the editorial staff of the Harvard Law Review.
She finished her law degree top of her class at Columbia and throughout the '70s and '80s wrote several laws in support of gender equality and women's rights—which she's continued to do throughout her career. At 85 years old and just 5'1" she's an icon and a real legend.
