We had so much fun designing and creating this dining area!
My clients love to gather family and friends over for relaxed meals (and hopefully will be able to do so again soon!) so I designed L-shaped banquette seating to fit this quirky corner perfectly. Here guests can relax and unwind, settling back into the comfortable, bespoke cushions.
A washed navy shade was chosen for the box-seat cushions to work with the island in the centre of the kitchen, and accents of teal and mustard along with a bold, contemporary floral in the scatter cushions add contrast and bring the space alive. The soft furnishings with their beautiful contrast piping detail were all made by the wonderful willowandbertinteriors, a regular partner on charlottewilliamsdesign projects.
I designed the bespoke, solid oak dining table with a silver-washed stain to tie in with the calm, neutral, grey oak tones of the cabinetry internals used throughout the kitchen, which my clients love. The solid cross legs give a simple but elegant feel, and the design means that there are none of the issues you get with being seated at the table leg!
Finally, I kept the feeling relaxed with the addition of simple navy and teal dining chairs from danetti. The polished chrome legs tie in with the scheme and their shape reflects the lines of the dining table.
I have everything crossed that my clients will soon be able to entertain in this gorgeous, convivial space as envisioned!
