Making the most of photographing our room ahead of some very attractive temporary boards being put up at the windows next week. To be fair at least it will partially resolve the current issue we have with lack of window dressings 😬😆
I am actually VERY giddy that after a great deal of deliberating we’ve finally confirmed the details of new windows for all of the rooms we don’t plan to alter structurally. The boards are going up whilst the original leaded panes are removed, cleaned and repaired before being encapsulated in new double glazed units which are due to be fit in mid April 💃🏼
Truth be told we always disliked the Upvc windows we put in at No.18 so made sure we did a lot more research this time round. In the end we found a local company to replace the windows by posting a note through the door of a house with lovely windows, asking who had supplied them 🤣🙈 This time we’ve chosen aluminium casement frames so they’re as slim as possible and the opening and fixed windows are all flush and look as authentic as possible- without the maintenance of timber frames. Its such a lovely feeling knowing that we’ll be both restoring and protecting some of the original features of the house, one of the greatest pleasures and privileges of a reno project 🥰
I’ve also ordered the perfect artwork for the barren headboard wall. One more job off the endless list! 🙌🏻📝
