This is our dining area, next to the open plan kitchen. I wanted to have lots of natural light coming into this space therefore have chosen 1st_folding_sliding_doors sliding doors, which is just fantasticšŸ’• Also I’ve designed to have the study area in the dining room for children (initially, and now either of myself or my husband is using for ā€œworking from homeā€ šŸ˜„) As being busy working parents, time with children is precious but limited. In the evening when we’re back from work, I can cook dinner and also look after their homework in the same space. Also children can watch me cooking from bar area in the kitchen island. We can spend more time together in the evening šŸ’• We initially designed to have another skylight on the right side but eventually omitted to save some cost, which I regret a bit now. But when we had to pay more than 20K to clear asbestos (refer my previous post), I had to find every possible area to omit and compromise therefore I had to 😢. But still, I love this space and hope to add more characters to the space, especially on the right side (currently it’s children’s play area šŸ˜…) Study area cupboards ikea #ikeahack - we painted with #farrowandball colours.
