Have you heard of ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ kitchens? I think they are such a brilliant idea - in Singapore most homes will essentially have two kitchens - one Dry Kitchen that is often open-plan with the dining area and another adjoining Wet Kitchen that is hidden from the public areas.
The dry area usually contains the fridge, some food prep counter space in the form of a bar, and sometimes a show-sink. The wet area is where all the hardcore cooking takes place, with the Hob, oven and washing-up sink. This means that all the smells, grease and fumes are contained in the hidden area - SUCH a good idea!!
I’m so excited to take you guys with me when we are out of quarantine and can go house/flat-hunting in Singapore in a couple weeks!!
