Light and airy vs warm and cosy?
We decided to keep the walls brilliant white for now, but really like the warmth of farrowandball ammonite in the downstairs WC…so maybe in time we will change the kitchen diner as well?
We changed the solid door into the kitchen from the original white wooden one to this fully glazed door. The light from the patio doors fills the hall and makes it look even bigger.
We moved away from the warm white lights we had in our last house and opted for “day light” which is definitely cooler but not as blue as a cool white bulb.
For the majority of the year we want this room to feel bright and airy but in the winter months, stick the netflixuk fire on and crank the heating up and the place feels warm and cosy in no time!
