Can we take a minute to sit in awe of #DarlingIssue20? When the magazine hit my mailbox and I saw this gorgeous summer cover, I actually gasped out loud. I devoured the entire thing in about an hour one afternoon, and I was absolutely wrecked when I got to page 114. “Our eyes glance down instead of out, our heart races with nervousness instead of confidence, our speech is hindered instead of free flowing. We filter. We edit. We hinder. We water down… Imagine we could look in the mirror for one long, lasting moment, deep into our own eyes and say, “You are one of a kind; you are so pretty; you are just as ideal as you need to be.”

Wow. This snippet from the Darling Team piece, “For the Love of All Our Faces”, in Issue 20 is my absolute favorite. It’s swirled around in my mind for days, challenging me and breathing encouraging life back into my heart. I’ve been having some new conversations with myself in the mirror this week— choosing a new inner dialogue. If I have a thought that isn’t tender, or accepting, or loving, I immediately say something opposite to myself and claim truth. I value and appreciate Darling so much for this very reason — their ability to not only raise the bar when it comes to the beauty & professionalism of their content, but that the interior content is never compromised. Without fail, when I read through Darling Issues I am challenged, I am encouraged, and I am changed. Thank you, Darling Team.
