A year or so ago I wrote these words down as a reminder to myself of who I want to be. They seem simple and pretty, but when you begin to do the tough work of living out what they mean — that’s much easier said than done.

In a world that is so polished, so full of pressure to be perfect, and sometimes void of true identity—let’s choose to live different. Let’s work hard at it. Let’s love ourselves and accept ourselves in order to live out authentic lives that are a beacon of light in a filtered, copied and pasted, and highly-edited world.
