Friday 1 June 2018 is Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day. The campaign is an initiative to start conversations and show support for health care workers who have had their lives affected by mental health issues or who have lost their lives to suicide. This day is for doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, social workers, physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, speech pathologists, audiologists, respiratory therapists, anaesthesia techs, paramedics, medical students, veterinarians and all other specialties that work in the health care industry for patients. The causes are multifactorial: mental health, physical illness, depression, burnout, work stresses, etc 🧦⠀ .⠀ “Why the crazy socks?”⠀ 1. To Remember the many Health Professionals who have died by suicide or in the line of duty.⠀ 2. To Raise awareness of mental health issues among Health Professionals, and⠀ 3.
