Whilst unusual in shape to most Western building design standards, this landmark's theme is entirely Chinese. It resembles a jade bi-disk and is golden in colour - strong power and wealth symbols to the culture. Did we mention that the Circle reflected in the waters of the Pearl River will reflect the number 8, a great symbol of luck? There is no wonder that the building is occupied by the world's largest raw plastic material trading centre with a 2012 estimated turnover of US$29 billion! 🍩⠀
