Behind the Bar with Wilson
This month, we chatted with Wilson Cárdenas for our Behind the Bar series highlighting Devoción staff in both our USA and Colombia operations. Wilson is a barista and service technician currently based out of our new Experience Center in Medellín. He has been with Devoción for the past six years, having moved all around Colombia helping start up operations in different cities.
Wilson’s favorite part of the job is the opportunity to share his knowledge and passion for coffee with our customers, helping build a robust coffee culture and appreciation for specialty coffee in a country that has historically exported the best coffees and is accustomed to drinking the leftover crop. “Colombia is a coffee-producing country, very well known for its excellent coffee, but with little idea how to prepare it and appreciate it,” he shares.
