Happy International Women’s Day. We believe in celebrating our incredible female coffee producers as well as our team and staff not just today, but every day. But we will certainly use any excuse to further shine the light on our incredible women, womxn, and female-identifying partners and teams.
Explore our Women in Coffee series with Tauramena, Las Flores and La Magdalena. We work with female owned coffee farms in Colombia. And, 5% of sales goes back to Francy Osorio and her producers of La Magdalena.

Tauramena
For the past 9 years, Alba Luz Rojas and her husband have owned Finca Tauramena in Acevedo, Huila. She is one of the leaders of a women's coffee farmer association consisting of 45 members that puts the spotlight on women who produce excellent specialty coffee and pushes for gender equality across the entire cultivation process.
La Magdalena
Francy Osorio is a coffee producer based in Tarqui, Huila, who despite being told as a girl that women shouldn't work or study, pushed forward with her studies, learning not only coffee production but also cupping and the world of selling coffee to exporters. Today she is the leader of a coffee-growing association that she runs with her sisters and mother and also owns a large farm that produces exceptional specialty coffee.
Las Flores
Soledad Peña is part of a successful coffee-growing family in San Gil, Santander. With a small farm that sits on a large hacienda owned by her family, each sibling tends to a different plot. Soledad is the only sister, and her ambition to grow well-cultivated Castillo coffee on a particularly fertile stretch of farmland has resulted in a terroir that is blessed with the perfect mix of shade, sunlight, and altitude that is cared for with remarkable diligence.
