You want to handstand?! Crow is the first step to learning inversions ? It teaches you so much about controlling your movements and your balance on your hands ? Start on your hands and feet, with your feet pretty close to your hands and knees bent. With your fingers wide spread and gripping the floor. You want to distribute the weight amongst your whole hand, pressing into your finger tips and your knuckles and your palm. Line your knees up along your triceps and bend at your elbows. Sending your shoulders forward into a push up position and hips up, keeping your feet on the floor. Keep your elbows lined up over your wrists and your weight into your knuckles and finger tips. From there hold your core tight and bring one foot up, hold it here with one foot on the floor. Feel the balance, and lean forward to try and bring the second foot up. Try a few toe taps off the floor and if it feels strong, engage your hamstrings and pull your foot up. ?? Practice practice practice! I honestly remember about 20 months ago when this pose felt impossible ? I got so sweaty and it was so frustrating. But with practice I eventually managed to hold it for a few seconds, and then more and more and more. Don't give up! ?? #calisthenics #yoga
