Years of practice are involved in executing advanced and beautiful yoga asanas. Come to your mat with a childlike wonder but don’t expect to come with your childlike flexibility. Accept and congratulate your body and mind’s desire to come to the mat. Refuse to focus on what your body lacks. Discover and internally praise small improvements. ? when I started my yoga journey I was not flexible nor had the right strength for some of the poses. I couldn't get my heels to the floor in downward facing dog, I couldn't even lift myself into wheel. I was at the point of even quitting because I couldn't do any of these postures that I saw, one evening I was just staring at my yoga mat asking myself why I wanted to quit WHY? Because it's hard, of cause it's hard name one thing that's easy"? Doing these poses is not what my whole intention is set on, it was to help me with the heartache that I struggling with because my father passed away. Knowing how yoga was helping me heal and keeping me more relaxed and loving myself, and everyone else around me too. with that in mind is what kept my practice daily and strong in doing that I built the strength and flexibility for these challenging postures. I can't do all the postures yet and I'm alright with that with my determination and strong practice I know one day I will & I'm loving and enjoying the journey that I am on. ? for the people that ask me all I can say is yes The postures of yoga should not be underestimated. Yoga is difficult. Months of daily practice gifted me with the ability to land my heels on the ground in downward facing dog, & lift & bend my back for wheel. Years more of practice will eventually allow me to beautifully glide into scorpion pose. Remember & Understand practice and determination contributes greatly to the success of your yogic journey. #practiceandalliscoming
