Day 6 of #HealthyHappyHearts is scorpion ? I chose to take mine in pincha, cause that’s how I feel like I can get the deepest into the shape. Having that little bit of extra stability in the forearms helps a lot with gripping the floor!
.
1️⃣To enter this shape, make your way into a straight legged forearm stand in the middle of the room or against a wall.
2️⃣Start to drop your chest to the floor as you arch your lower back to bend your straight legs overhead.
3️⃣Lift your head up as you bend your knees and begin to teach your feet to your head.
4️⃣Take special care to keep your pelvic floor lifted and your from ribs pulling in the whole time! Protect your lower back!! ⏺In essence, this is about reaching your head up to meet your feet, not about crunching your low back to bend as deep as possible. Focus on bending in your upper back and a healthy curve will naturally come in your low back.
