Age is such a weird concept.
It’s literally just a number.
When I was very young, like 5 or 6, I thought 13 was SO OLD.
And now that I’m 30?
I feel like I’m still literally a kid ?
Ever notice how some people look super old, but their “age” says otherwise?
I check people’s ID’s at the pot shop I work at. I always compare people to my mom, who was born in 1954. She looks great! Her skin glows, she has few wrinkles, she has this youthful twinkle in her eye ?
It’s because she takes care of herself. She’s practiced yoga and eaten healthy since before I was born. She never smoked or drank and always took off her makeup and moisturized her skin.
She’s the epitome of self care to me... Of self love.
However, there are some 64 year olds that I see that look twice her age. They’re bodies and minds show every moment of their age, and then some.
I presume it’s due to the shit they put into their bodies and minds. They eat processed food and consume trash media. And the stories they feed themselves are even worse ?
So here’s to bettering yourself. No matter how late to the game you think you are, it can only go up from here. I’m pretty new to the self care game. Just 5 years ago my mind was riddled with negativity and my body was deteriorating in a direct reflection.
You can do ANYTHING.
You are powerful beyond your belief.
YOU can make the change!
I believe in you ?
