Balance, the most important part of life or?
For me, balance honestly does not exist. Not in the meaning that a lot of people thinks of that is. It exists, but in a bit of a different form.
I've been having problems with figuring out how to name this exactly, but today I watched one interview and it just clicked - it's not balance in life that is important, it's harmony! And I couldn't agree more!
For me, some days and weeks, it feels almost impossible to take a break and to balance in between work time and rest time and then on the other hand I have days where I know I don't have any obligations or deadlines near by so I just enjoy my rest time to the fullest. I hate always having to be on the go, always having something to do - harmonising clear state of mind with doing the things I am passionate about is what is important for me.
Also here, to achieve that harmony, knowing your capabilities helps as well. For example, I know I work best under pressure and I always approximately know how much time it will take me to finish a particular task, so I leave it till the very moment where I know I have just the right amount of time to do it. Some call it crazy and risky, but for me it has proved to be giving best results. So I stick with it.
But either your methods are crazy or not, I guess balance will work only if it harmonizes with you. ππΌπ
