As the second child & the most emotionally attached one of all, getting married and moving to a different country, I was leaving a piece of my heart in Jakarta.
I wanted to give my parents & two sisters something to remind them that despite the distance, ‘we will always have each other’ and moving isn’t going to change that.
I was reminded of the little friendship heart pendants we wore as kids, that were broken/incomplete pieces until put together. Drawing inspiration from this, I went with a heart shaped puzzle made up of 5 parts - one to represent each of my family members.
I chose to design them as charms for the flexibility to be strung on a chain, bracelet or even a key chain. Picked a yellow gold wash for a grand appeal and flanked diamonds on the rim for that extra punch.
