The other day I spoke at a training event. There were a little over 300 people in the room- all there to learn how to be successful in the social selling industry.

At the end, we opened it up for audience Q&A and all the speakers were asked to share their number one piece of advice.

At first I thought “how in the world can I pick just one...” then it came to me. I quoted msrachelhollis and said: “other people’s opinions of you are none of your business.” (Then I said it a second time for the people in the cheap seats 😉)

I really do think that is the most important thing to master if you want to be successful in this field. If you allow yourself to be paralyzed by the fear of what others might think, you will never get anywhere.

Not everyone is going to be interested in your business. Not everyone will want your product. Heck, not everyone is going to like YOU. You’ll run across haters and naysayers and downright meanies.

But guess what? It doesn’t matter. They don’t matter. Their eye rolls, their passive aggressive comments, their penchant for seeing the negative in EVERY situation, will only impact you if you let it.

You’re in charge. You’re calling the shots. You’re chasing a dream of a lifetime and you’re not going to let anyone get in your way. You’ll run with the runners. And dream with the dreamers. You’ll level up your circle. You’ll grow your self belief. And one day, you’ll look around and realize that all your wildest dreams have just come true, simply because you were audacious enough to believe in you. ❤️
